EVAN has a story of hope for those looking for authentic conversation.
Being a part of the High School Student Ministry has meant that I could talk freely and open about my religion and my life. It has helped me change the way I lead myself through the many problems life brings. Having a place to talk freely means that no matter what I do or say, the adult leaders and my small group leaders always try to understand and help get me to get guidance from God.
In the student ministry, there is space for me to hear from God, and to learn how to tune my ears so that I can listen. Being involved in the student ministry has helped me love God and others in a way I wouldn't have been able to on my own. I feel like i have a lot more respect for others now. I've started to treat them the way God has taught me to. Through the relationships in my small groups and student ministry, I have discovered the importance of living generously towards others.
