HENRY explores his gifts through music.
When I was younger, when my family and I lived in Falls Church, I was raised going to a small Presbyterian church. It wasn't a big thing in our family, but we went. When we moved out to Rappahannock, we completely turned our backs to Christ. We tried to do our own thing. When I was in the sixth grade, my family met someone at Cornerstone, who invited us on Easter, so we came to visit Cornerstone. Immediately, it clicked. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming.
Over the almost 3 years we've been coming to Cornerstone, many opportunities have come forward. One that really sticks out to me is the worship band. I had always been intrigued by them, especially Cory Hoffman, as I was also a guitarist. Every so often I would come and join them in service, and play. Sixth months ago, I officially joined the band, and I play every 2 weeks. The whole band has been very welcoming, and they are all incredible musicians. It is a great experience, and it feels fantastic to have a way of worshipping the Lord, through something I dearly love to do.
